Cocoa is a beautiful little female Miniature Pincher. She is only 2 years old. Her family had to move, and sadly she could not go along. She lived with very small children and had a broken leg as a puppy. That is all healed with no permanent damage. Cocoa went to Internet Min Pin Rescue, and is being fostered until her permanent adoption. She came into rescue in July 10th, 2006.

This brittany boy wandered to a farm place near Broken Bow. He roamed for some time before he was caught. He was put on the local radio for his owner to claim, but no one came forward. American Brittany Spaniel Rescue was contacted, and they had an available foster home in Omaha. On July 5th, 2006 he went to Omaha. He was adopted almost immediately (of course after a neuter and vetting) and was named Professor Bowie - Bo.

Lilly, a purebred Shetland Sheepdog, came into rescue January 31st, 2007. Because of her size, 50 pounds, she is too large for our doggie door. Fortunately, Colorado Sheltie Rescue had room for her, and expressed a willingness to place her. She is 8 years old, and a thoroughly delightful dog. She likes people, other dogs and cats. No picture taken
to date does justice to just how stunningly beautiful this sweet girl is.

In March of 2007 this young boy was abandoned 20 miles out in the countryside to fend for himself. He found his way to a kind home who fed him and took him in to see if an owner would return to claim him. Alas, they did not - so to rescue he came. We named him Elliot - what a love this guy is. He has been accepted in the GRRIN rescue program and will be placed by them. The week that Elliot has been here has been pure joy.

Bebe (top), a Papillon/Chihuahua mix, and Benny (bottom) a pure bred Chihuahua are 2 and 4 years old (respectively). Their elderly owner was moving and Bebe and Benny could not go along.

Our gracious rescue partner in Valentine, NE had room for both these boys. They were relocated on April 15th, 2007. Both are delightful little boys. The tiny Chi is the dominant of the two, and Bebe just sits back and watches alot. Hopefully in rescue he can come out of his shell and enjoy life a little more.

Pretty Polly was put outside in January of 2008 - to survive a Nebraska winter. She is a pure bred miniature red dachshund, about 6 inches tall and weighs all of 8 pounds. She was adopted to a wonderful family in Illinois. It is our fervant hope that her new family finds as much love and joy in her as we did. Thank you Woody, Harriet and Mallory.
